Our Vision
A future where te reo Māori is a living, thriving part of everyday life, shared across generations and woven into the things we do for fun.
We envision a world where anyone can connect with te reo Māori through play, whether they're beginning their learning journey, reconnecting with their culture, or helping their tamariki grow up with the language. We want to create a welcoming space where learning is enjoyable and whānau and friends can come together through a shared love of te reo and support each other’s learning.
Our long-term vision is to build a home for te reo Māori games online — a place where people can play, learn, challenge one another, and strengthen their connection to the language together.
Our Aim
To make learning and engaging with te reo Māori fun, accessible, and part of everyday life through games.
We're developing a growing collection of free, family-friendly games that encourage players to explore the language and culture at their own pace. From quick daily challenges to new ways of learning and playing together, we want to make te reo more accessible to people of all ages and stages of learning.
With two games already released and more on the way, we're building towards a connected platform where players can discover new games, grow their vocabulary, track their progress, and learn alongside friends and whānau.
Our Purpose
Piri, our creative lead is of Ngāti Rāhiri Tumutumu descent and believes Māori lack modern ways to connect with their people.
"I wanted to make games to help anyone connect to the language, including myself. This is a way for me to become closer to my culture. The culture of my whanau, my ancestors, and most importantly, my daughter."
By creating free-to-play, ad-free games, we want to remove barriers to participation and make it easier for anyone to take part. With the support of organisations such as NZ On Air, we're contributing to the revitalisation of te reo Māori for generations to come.
